dc.description.abstractThis paper has addressed the metaindividual interests as fundamental rights of the third dimension. Initially, it has listed the obstacles faced by the Judiciary in the accomplishment of collective protection and the possible solutions for alleviating these barriers. For this, the research exposed the traditional three process waves and then adds a fourth wave, embodied in the word education. It is up to the legal education in the country to contribute to the real formation of jurists, capable to perform their functions properly. Moreover, as a minimum contribution, it was concluded that the insertion of courses/subjects in tune with the metaindividual interests seems able to shorten the path to the effectiveness of collective protectionpt_BR
dc.description.resumoEste artigo reportou-se aos interesses metaindividuais como direitos fundamentais de terceira dimensão. Inicialmente, listou os obstáculos encontrados pelo Poder Judiciário na realização da tutela coletiva e as possíveis soluções para amenização desses bices. Para tanto a pesquisa expôs as tradicio-nais três ondas processuais e cresceu a quarta onda, materializada na palavra educação. Cabe ao ensino jurídico no país contribuir para verdadeira formação de juristas, capazes de desempenhar suas funções adequadamente. Ademais, como mínima contribuição, concluiu-se que a inserção de disciplinas afinadas com os interesses etaindividuais parece poder abreviar o caminho para a efetividade da tutela coletiva.pt_BR
